11 Video Ideas For Orange County Real Estate Agents

Last year, real estate coach Tom Ferry posted a video to his YouTube channel titled, Why You Should Go ALL IN on Video + 10 Videos You Should Shoot Now! where he shares ideas for videos he thinks real estate agents should be creating.
The idea here is to sell you as an agent by being highly visible online and by introducing yourself via video before you meet your buyers or sellers face to face. Many agents don't like appearing in videos, which is why you don't see many of them doing it. But as Tom points out:
"No one cares what you look like. Don't surprise people when you get there. ... This is for the people who are like, 'I don't like how I look on camera'. What? Do you look in the mirror every day? It's the same exact thing. You've got to get over this narcissistic, I'm not enough, someone's going to judge me.
... Your vibe attracts your tribe. People are buying and selling with you because you're a good human being, you're good at what you do and if you put that out on video you will amplify your goodness and you will find more people that like people like you."
Stop worrying about how you look on video. People are going to see what you look like eventually so start building some familiarity with potential clients before you meet them in person.
Now, let's look at the 10 video ideas you can start posting today to help build your brand:

How Often Should You Be Posting Videos
Tom suggests you post at least once per week and that is the “How is the real estate market in CITY” video. But recent reports about TikToc and Instagram have shown compelling evidence supporting posting more is rewarded by their algorithms.
Personally, I would suggest three videos per week minimum with the addition of a community highlight as well as a video about what makes buying/selling in your area unique as educational content. By including at least these three types of videos - data, community, and education - you’re going to build a strong video library which should rank you as one of the dominant online agents in your market.
How do you do all of those videos each week?
Tom suggests batching your video workload. Basically that means setting aside one day or afternoon each week to record all of your video content for the week ahead. He also recommends bringing in a videographer, or doing it yourself if you have to (hiring a videographer to create professional content has a large ROI).
Since you will be recording all of your content on the same day, do not forget to wear neutral colors you can easily style so that you have a different look for each video you post during the week.
If this sounds like a lot of work, and it is, remember, the return on investment for having original video content is enormous and you will see your business grow.
